Welcome to UniPayment! To ensure the security of your account and comply with regulatory requirements, your business needs to complete the KYC (Know Your Customer) verification process. We use the services provided by Sumsub for certification to ensure the security of the submitted materials and compliance with European Union regulations, as well as Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Counter-Terrorist Financing (CFT) requirements. Here is a simple guide to assist you in successfully completing business verification.

Process Overview

The KYC verification for business users includes the following parts:

1. Submission of Business Materials: You are required to provide basic information and relevant documents for your business.

2. Personal KYC Verification: After receiving the submission of business materials, UniPayment will notify the beneficiary to undergo personal KYC verification.

3. Business Verification: Business verification will proceed after the personal verification is passed.

Note: The beneficiary refers to an individual who has significant control or ownership interests in the business.

Important Notes:

  • Before you begin, please prepare relevant legal documents and information about your business. These are:

    • Company Information, Authorized User Information

    • Beneficial Owner Information

    • Director Or Manager Information

    • Certificate of Incorporation

    • Memorandum or Articles of Association

    • Company Bank Statement

    • Proof of Address

  • Log in to your UniPayment account using your username and password.

Step 1: Submission of Basic information

1. 1. Start Verification: Select “Business” and then click the “Start KYC Verification” button.

1. 2. Check the box to agree to the terms and then click “Acknowledge and Continue”.

1. 3. Enter Business Information: Fill in the basic information of your business, such as the name, registration number, and registered address. Fields marked with an asterisk (*) are mandatory. Then, click “Next”.

Step 2: Upload Files

  • Download the “Application Template” and fill it out.

    • Remember to provide the full name and email address of the beneficiary to receive the notification email for “UBO Verification”.

    • The following sections you need to prepare and complete are:

      • Company Information

      • Authorized User Information

      • Beneficial Owner Information

      • Director Or Manager Information

  • Upload the “Application Template”.

  • Upload the legal documents of the business, such as the Certificate of Incorporation, Memorandum or Articles of Association, Company Bank Statement, or Proof of Address, etc. Ensure all documents are up-to-date and legible.

  • Click “Next”.

After submission, please check the beneficiary's email, as UniPayment will notify you to proceed with UBO Verification.

Step 3: UBO Verification

3.1. Click “Start KYC” in the notification email to open the UBO Verification page.

Step Four: Business Verification

  • After the personal verification is passed, UniPayment will proceed with the business verification.

  • You may receive an email notification requesting additional business-related documents or information for the final review. Please click the link in the email and follow the steps from Steps One and Two again if necessary.

Completion of Verification

You will receive notification of the verification results via email.

Once the submission of business materials, the personal KYC verification of the beneficiary, and the final business verification are completed, you have completed the KYC process for your business account. The MLRO department will now review your application. Typically, this review process takes 7-10 business days

If the beneficiary fails to pass the personal KYC verification, the business verification will not proceed, and the entire application will be rejected.
